Hrvoje Miletic is a Senior Consultant in neuropathology, Head of the Neuropathology Section at the Department of Pathology at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen and Adjunct Professor in Biomedicine at the Department of Biomedicine, University of Bergen in Norway.

Prof. Miletic´s research is focused on primary brain tumors, in particular glioblastoma, which is the most frequent and most malignant one. His research group investigates molecular mechanisms of brain tumor invasion, communication and treatment resistance. In addition, Prof. Miletic has developed a lentiviral gene therapy which he and his group are further developing into an immunotherapy with commercialization potential. Another research project which is done in collaboration with the Brain Tumor Laboratory at Quilu Hospital of Shandong University, in Jinan, China is the establishment of genetically engineered macrophages for cancer treatment.

Prof. Miletic has published around 100 peer reviewed articles and has an H-index of 30. He has been invited speaker at 10 international conferences. He is currently member of the GLASS consortium, an international initiative to fully characterize pairs of primary and recurrent brain tumors on the genomic level for analysis of clonal evolution and mechanisms of treatment resistance.
