Shuwei Liu is the Professor and PhD Tutor of Shandong University. He was previously the Executive Deputy Dean of the Graduate School of Shandong University and the Deputy Dean of the Medical College. Currently, he is Associate Dean of the Institute of Brain and Brain-spired Science at Shandong University, Director of the Institute of Human Anatomy and Histology and Embryology, Director of the Human Anatomy Department, Director of the Tomography Research Center and Deputy Director of the Asian Society of Clinical Anatomy. He is Chairman and Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Anatomy, Chairman of the Professional Committee of Tomographic Anatomy, Standing Committee Member of the Digital Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and Chairman of the Shandong Society of Anatomy.

His research interests include tomographic anatomy and functional neuroimaging. He has won several National and Provincial Awards, and has published more than 260 papers in peer review journals. Prof. Liu has edited 16 academic works including Sectional Human Anatomy and Functional Neuroimaging. In 1998, he was rated as a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions by the Ministry of Health. In 1999, prof. Liu was rated as a top scientific and technological talent in Shandong Province. In 2000, he was awarded a special government allowance from the State Council and won the honorary title of "Shandong Teaching Teacher" in 2012.
